Just read this aloud to my partner walking back from our local pub. God this is great. I can attest to having at least 3 quarter filled bags of rice in our pantry - will not buy more.
I noticed this in myself and also in the people around me: this New Year's was just so much more relaxed. No one seemed to be in a frenzy to make resolutions or ascend or get better through the sheer force of their will. There was this pleasant, just humming along with life energy and I loved that! This was probably one of my favourite New Year's.

Loved this very cool piece from you...you had me at "I have my bookshelves and I have Patti Smith"...the only things I would need with that are my cats and some coffee...your 'fridge and freezer doors remind me of my own, except mine have a lot of cat stuff! Also,I really liked the picture of the cozy little nook with the window view...lovely. Thanks for being here,I always dig your writings...
The perfect essay to read right before I placed my weekly grocery order 😉 but also so inspiring as I literally just picked out what to wear!! A great reminder that I should just use what I have.
Looove this. So often we forget to notice what we have (which is hard when we’re bombarded with new new new all the time). I’ve entered the last two years with maybe one goal? It’s so nice to enter the new year slowly without pressure.
